We do love a lengthy pub name, but friends and family tend to just call us The Telegraph. Most come here for our friendly demeanour, the jaw dropping roast dinners and that feeling of being surrounded by people you actually like. A cosy community pub that’s steeped in heritage, with genuinely welcoming staff and a propensity for witty banter. That’s why we’re Peckham’s best local.
A life affirming glass of Pinot Noir or a fruit infused gin and tonic whilst watching the world go by from the warmth of one of our wonderful window seats. A carefully poured pint of cask ale or a hot mulled wine with extra cinnamon as you kick your shoes off by our roaring fire. We do seasonal pretty well, so whether you’re a summer or winter baby you’ll enjoy spending time sampling your favourite beverages and experimenting with new flavours in our perfectly formed local pub.
Our roasts take centre stage every Sunday, kneel before their greatness and bask in their meaty (or veggie) goodness. Yes, we take our roast dinners very seriously. You should see our Christmas menu (seriously, take a look) – tender free range turkey crown, slow braised pork shoulder or a butternut squash and chestnut wellington flanked with all the trimmings and decorated with a generously serving of sauce. We haven’t even told you about dessert yet… We very happily cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets – just ask one of our team and they’ll be able to guide you through our menu and make recommendations or changes to suit your needs.
